My choreographic research started in 2009 when I examined the piece ‘The Rite of Spring’ in relation to gender specific physicality and dance biographies. I developed a Rite of Spring trilogy: Ne danse pas si tu ne veux pas, No 'rait of spring and SACRES.
Since 2015, the focus of my choreographic practice has been about the abolition of gender and identity categorisations. After three gender-specific dance productions: T/HE/Y, YBRIDE and Solange die Nacht wirbelt, I invited artists from different fields with whom I examine the historical legacies of queer cultures. This gave rise to group pieces called MELANCHOLÌA and WHO’S AFRAID OF RAIMUNDA.
In my performance work, as well as my many community projects with young people and adults, I always seek an open dialogue about contemporary socio-political developments and question the growing calls for a return to homogeneous societies.
In January 2021 I started the research "Shit! Sind wir schon in der Zukunft?". A research with professional and non- professional artists about the sleeping body and productivity.
I work with HAJUSOM Ensemble since 2015. Hajusom is a transnational performance group, which has created numerous innovative formats with artists of different genres on topics such as globalization and transculturality, colonialism, migration and flight since 1999.
